Aisha Jamila is an American actor who is most well recognized for her appearances in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut she has demonstrated her versatility by performing in series like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. But it was her performance as feminist campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actress. She was married to Abhishek Bachchan, co-star who is the child of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage brought two of India's most influential personalities to one another.
